The idea for Kneiter brewery arose at the beginning of the corona pandemic, bandmates Stijn and Luuk saw their festival summer go up in smoke and seized the opportunity to try a new hobby. As avid beer lovers, it seemed fun to try and make something themselves, and so it was done. After a few tastings of our first brews, Patrick also became enthusiastic and joined the team. The Kneiter brewery was born. After serving our concoctions to countless people and receiving generally good reactions, enough confidence was gathered to try and make the big leap into larger scale commercial brewing. At the end of 2020, the first 2 brews were in the tank at Reuz in Moergestel and Holevoort in Bakel, ready to be delivered at the start of 2021. The adventure had begun!
De Kneiter brewery focuses mainly on the more adventurous drinkers, mainly intense and pronounced beers are brewed in which peat and smoked malts are no strangers. But even then they can still come out surprisingly smooth. You will also notice this in the first barrel aged brews, of which there are plenty lined up for release soon.
