Ondanks dat wij als brouwers groot liefhebbers zijn van (turf)gerookte mouten, is de Kneiter Gieter Pater verstoken van enig spoor van rook. Tot nu dan, want wij hebben de hand weten te leggen op een uniek vat. De stoker Schotman produceert sinds 2021 de allereerste gepatenteerde peated rum uit. Een van zijn hersenspinsels is gerijpt op een voormalig Moscatel-vat, de befaamde zoete dessertwijn. En op dit vat hebben wij onze Kneiter Gieter Pater 14 maanden laten rijpen. Het resultaat is een wervelwind aan smaken, waarbij de zoetigheid van de KGP zelf en de Moscatel elkaar uitstekend aanvullen.
